English version Marco Frezza begins 2010 with the champion team The countdown for the start of the 2010 motor sport season for Marco Frezza is now close to the end. The driver from Milan will in fact begin his season this weekend with the first race of International GT Open, scheduled on the Valencia track. This year Frezza signed an important wedding with the Swiss team Kessel Racing, owned by former F1 driver Loris Kessel, which will enable him to take the start with one of the most important teams in this category, who won the GTS class last year. His car will be again the Ferrari 430 GT3 Scuderia, which is now well known by the Italian driver since many years, and his team-mate will be the Portuguese Pedro Couceiro. "I'm very happy to be at the start with Kessel," Marco explains before leaving to Valencia, "and to have a team-mate fast and competitive like Pedro. I don't want to set any aim before the start, but I'm convinced that we have very good possibilities to do well. The first race will be in Valencia, a track which I know well: two years ago I took there a podium in wet conditions." For the Spanish race, GT Open and Spanish GT championships will race together, even if the Sunday race, as customary, will be split by categories, with the GTS race in the morning and the SuperGT race in the afternoon. On the Wednesday preceeding the event a collective test day will take place, replacing of the official test scheduled in Spa late March, cancelled due to a problem on the track. The regulations are unchanged: the races will be 70 minutes long (Saturday) and 50 minutes (Sunday), with a handicap system in time (on the basis of a 15-10-5 seconds penalty for the top three finishers at every race). The two races will be broadcast live at pan-European level through Motors TV.
