English version First GT Open win for Frezza "I told you…" a satisfied Frezza begins after his comeback from Spa-Francorchamps. A weekend in which the driver from Milan respected all the expectations. On his favourite track, the techical Belgian circuit, in fact, Marco, after three second places, managed to get his first carreer win in International GT Open, bringing together with Pedro Couceiro his Ferrari 430 GT3 of the Kessel Racing team ahead of everybody in race 1. The win came after a long battle with the championship leader car of Makowiecki/Dayraut, on top after the first turn ahead of Marco Frezza and then overtaken throughout the race. The Frezza/Couceiro team then managed to avoid the rivals comeback in the end, by keeping them behind until the chequered flag. The second race, 50 minutes long on Sunday morning, was also beautiful. Coming back from behind, thanks to his fast laps, Marco Frezza made an opportunistic move in the final moments of the race when Rodriguez tried to take advantage of the bagarre. The risky move of his rival got Frezza the opportunity to gain at the photofinish the fourth place. "I'm very happy: this was an almost perfect weekend," Marco tells. "We began almost with a pole, given that in qualifying we were second just to Vulkan Racing team's Dodge, which didn't respect the category regulation not having the restrictors: actually we were the best Ferrari. Race 1 was one to remember: we did everything well and at the end came my first carreer win in GT Open. Then, in race 2, we got the fourth place thanks to my double overtaking on two rivals in the end: the top points available cancelling all the penalties towards next race. I have to thank my team mate Pedro and of course all the mechanics and the whole Kessel Racing team, which put us in condition of getting this incredible result." An important result also for the championship, where now Marco is in second position in the GTS class, just two points behind the leader, while the season is at his half. The next event is scheduled on the 9th-11th July at Magny-Cours.
